PanArkati Festival
Leya Talk
A crier, clad in livery of silver-shot dark linen and a sash of multicolored ribbons, steps forward and unfurls a scroll of white vellum. "Come listen! Come learn! Come share! Come worship! As part of the PanArkatic Festival, Danay is scheduled to relate her views on Leya, deity of Martial Arts, at half past nine night bells elven tonight. Come to the Hall of the Body in the Temple of Icemule and hear what she has to say, and then join in the discussion of this spirit known as The Patroness of the Amazons."
You see Lady Iscikella Zinnonn the Solacebringer.
She appears to be a Sylvankind of the Kytawa D'ahranal.
She appears to be young and tall. She has large violet eyes and alabaster
skin. She has very long, curly bright red hair. She has a delicate face, a
flaring nose and small pointed ears. She has an overlapping circles tattoo
on her ankle, and a quill pen tattoo on her finger.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing some delicate carved ivory haircombs, an enamelled ivy leaf
earring, a silver arced split-moon charm, a diaphanous gossamer cloak, a crystal
and rhimar thumb ring, an emerald four-leaf clover pendant, a delicate gold
vaalin chain, a green silk clover-covered bodice, an ivy oversewn waistpouch,
an ivy-trimmed white gossamer skirt, and some deep green high heeled slippers.

>(Iscikella moves to the front of the room.)
>Mistytwilight smiles warmly at Danay.
Iscikella recites:
"Ladies and gentlemen, our speaker tonight is Danay. Who is going to speak on Leya."
You smile at Iscikella.
>Iscikella recites:
"Please keep fidgeting to a minimum."
>Laleena smiles at you.
>Guhl beams!
>Tracie applauds you.
>Iscikella recites:
>Mistytwilight turns an inquisitive ear towards you.
>Tierus says, "Nae murder, or use o' thraks in a projectile manner, either."
>Tierus nods.
You glance at Tierus.
>Aranrhod grins at Tierus.
>Iscikella recites:
"And wait for her to open the floor after her lecture before questioning or commenting."
Iscikella smiles.
>Tierus grins at you.
>Iscikella nods to you.
>Iscikella sits down.
Danay smiles at everyone in attendence.
You say, "I would like to welcome all of you to the panel discussion tonight. Our topic for this discussion is Leya, patroness of Amazons and the martial arts."
You say, "I would also like to thank Iscikella and Tierus for organizing this gathering during the week."
>You smile.
You say, "I will be giving a short talk about Leya, and then we will open up for discussion. I would like to ask that all of you reserve your comments or questions until I am done in order to keep things moving along smoothly."
You say, "When I am done, I will open things up for moderated discussion so that everyone interested can get a chance to speak, give their viewpoints, ask questions, debate, etc."
You say, "I do not want to dwell too long on Leya's story as it has been told on several occasions and is available in various libraries. If you are not overly familiar with the details of the story, I do urge you to read up on it for yourself. But I will cover the basic points as they are key to part of who Leya is."
You say, "Leya is the daughter of Lord Kai, an Arkati and an Ardenai elf by the name of Learya. Legend has it that her mother had the rare gift of prescience and thus possibly possessed some Arkati blood herself."
You say, "Leya's mother died in childbirth, but foresaw darkness in her daughter's future. There are tales that a shadowed figure was present at Learya's deathbed. Some legends say it was Lorminstra, making sure Kai did not interfere with the fact it was Learya's time to pass the Ebon Gates and others say it was Luukos, who had other darker purposes."
You say, "Given the rest of what we know about what happened with Leya, I tend to believe the tales of it being Luukos."
You say, "Kai was distraught with Learya's death, as he truly loved her, and in his grief left Leya to be raised by the Ardenai. It was not until Leya was a grown woman, though still very young in elven terms, that she and Kai were reunited. "
You say, "They found each other again at a Festival of Games that was being held between the great Elven Houses. Leya, showing the physical gifts she had inherited from her father, had won every match she had entered. It is said that her sword arm was strong and that her skill with a bow rivaled that of the Arkati. "
You say, "Her loss in the finals of the rapier tournament, according to the tales, was due to a hare dashing out onto the field at the wrong moment and getting tangled in her legs, causing her to lose her footing, and thus the match."
You say, "This is why Amazons of Leya will often traditionally serve roasted rabbit at their festivals."
You grin.
>Mistytwilight starts chortling.
>Laleena appears to be trying hard not to grin.
>Sylviana smiles.
Tzuriz grins.
>Eairus chuckles.
You say, "After the festivities were over, Leya accompanied Kai on his travels for many years. He taught her about combat, skills with weapons and her Arkati heritage. It is said that her skill at arms was only overshadowed by her beauty. Though none of the nobles who lost their hearts to her ever caught her eye."
You say, "At one point in their travels they stayed a time with some halflings. Leya taught the halfling youths wrestling and advanced archery techniques, while they taught her tricks with throwing blades."
You say, "During this visit, Kai was given Soulingen for safekeeping and Leya was gifted with a halfling sword, which in her hands was more akin to a dagger."
You say, "Elsewhere in the lands, evil was afoot. This was during the time of Despana's ascendance and the world was uneasy. Harking back to what Learya had said about seeing darkness in Leya's future, Kai created a magic forest and then bid Leya to remain there protected while he sought out information about the troubles."
You say, "Leya did as she was asked. Kai left her with a magic steed he created from an owl as her companion and at her request, also left Soulingen in her hands for combat practice."
You say, "While Kai was gone, an injured Vaalor elf by the name of Egan was placed in the forest by a wizard of some power. Leya nursed him back to health and during that time, they fell in love. Eventually he had to leave and return to his family as he was long overdue. He and Leya agreed to meet again on a certain date and she bid him temporarily farewell."
>Ferrius smiles.
>Mistytwilight smiles quietly to herself.
You say, "He returned to the chaos of the Undead Wars in his homeland and took up his responsibilities to aid in the battles. When he was late on the appointed date for their meeting, Leya sensed that he was in danger. Some say she had inherited her mother's gift of foresight."
You say, "Leya left the forest on the steed Rigaetha, carrying Soulingen at her side. When she arrived at the battlefield, her bloodlust was strong and she drew Soulingen, meeting the enemy in a fury. Her skill with the great weapon helped the elves win the day."
You say, "Luukos was also present and watching the proceedings. During the battle he caused Egan to appear to be the enemy in Leya's eyes, and in the bloodlust of battle she struck her lover a mortal blow."
Ferrius shudders.
>Sylviana frowns.
>Aranrhod sighs sadly.
You clear your throat.
You say, "Leya was distraught and it is said that her cry of grief when she realized what she had done released the magic at the heart of her steed Rigaetha, and he transformed once more into the snowy while owl he was originally."
You say, "Leya returned to the forest and there built a shrine, Egan's tomb, in the place where they were to have been reunited. Then in her grief she left Soulingen on the altar and took up the halfling sword, a dagger, as her only weapon and left."
You say, "No tales have yet been uncovered that tell of what she did after that or if she was ever seen by mortals again. Being an immortal, she still lives on and has made herself known to many over the centuries, but does not apparently walk the world as the elves do."
Isyldra leans forward and rests her chin in her hand, a thoughtful expression on her face.
You say, "The shrine spoken of is the one that can be found in the forests not far from Wehnimer's Landing."
You say, "Leya is usually depicted as a beautiful young woman of athletic build, wearing only a tunic and carrying a dagger. Her symbol has become the dagger and her commonly accepted colors are deep blue and ivory."
You say, "Leya has had many sects and gatherings devoted to her over the centuries, along with many individuals who revere her in their own way."
You say, "Several years ago, in 5097, Dame Deavon, who was Lady Deavon at the time, banded together with other followers in order to discover more about Leya. It was this group that found the shrine once again, after it had been burried in obscurity for untold time. "
You say, "I was lucky enough to be able to join those bold adventurers near the completion of their quest and was with them the day the shrine was re-discovered. I cannot put into words how that moment felt when we entered. It remains one of the most poignant moments of my life."
You smile.
You say, "There are few of us left still adventuring who were in that group. Though if you ever wish to hear more of a first hand account of those times, you can seek out Deavon, Shadowkatt, Sylanae and occasionally Grobinal."
You say, "In the year 5098 Lady Kythyn formed the Amazon Tribe of Leya, based in Wehnimer's Landing as a group of women devoted to Leya following many ancient Amazon traditions. Much of the rest of what I have to say tonight comes from my experiences with the Tribe and my Sisters, how we viewed Leya and my own understanding as one of her clerics over the years."
You say, "The Tribe technically no longer exists, though my Lodge of the Grey Wolf Amazons continues all the Tribe traditions. The Lodge is part of a larger organization called the Amazon Alliance, which is open to all people of honor, no matter their gender or specific religious persuasion, as long as they are willing to honor Leya and the Amazon Way. If anyone is interested in hearing more about that, you may talk to me or other members after the discussion period."
You say, "Leya's shrine is quite beautiful and can lead to many hours of contemplation and meditation. I encourage all of you to pay it a visit if you have not already."
You say, "The shrine contains four aspects. They are Strength, Mercy, Night and Day. These four aspects are the cornerstones of what we call the Amazon Way."
You say, "Before I go further, I should probably be clear that Amazons are only one of many types of followers of Leya. There are also many Amazon traditions that have nothing to do with Leya. So in my mind, and the minds of most followers, these things are not synonymous."
You say, "Thus, even those who do not identify as Amazons still usually revere the aspects depicted in Leya's shrine and hold them central to their faith and way of life."
You say, "Those of us who follow Leya tend to not be overly religious sorts. In keeping with Elven tradition, Leya is usually seen more as our patroness and a guide for how we are to live our lives. We often look on her as a mother or sister figure."
You say, "This should not be construed as a lack of respect for an immortal goddess, but rather in keeping with who Leya is and what she expects of her followers."
Ferrius nods to you.
>Isyldra nods.
You say, "As a cleric, I tend to be a bit more religious than the typical follower or typical elf, but when compared to clerics of many other faiths, may seem a bit lacking in that way."
You say, "If any of you in attendance tonight are also clerics, I urge you to visit the cleric guild here in Icemule during your stay, as Leya has a very lovely altar within the building."
You say, "As I mentioned, following Leya is more a way of life than anything else. At least, I believe that is the best way to describe it. Leya expects her followers to attempt to live up to certain ideals and that we can best serve her by living out these ideals and acting as examples of these values to others."
You say, "These ideals are incorporated in the aspects of her shrine and can also be summed up using words such as honor, strength in combat, wisdom in word and deed and a willingness to show mercy to others."
You say, "This may sound fairly straight forward and simple and I suppose for some it might be. I on the other hand often find these high ideals rather difficult to live up to."
You grin.
>Ferrius chuckles.
>Tierus smiles.
Laleena appears to be trying hard not to grin.
Aranrhod smiles in agreement
>Iscikella smiles at you.
>Sylviana smiles.
You say, "But just as Leya believes we must show mercy, she is quite merciful with her followers and our ever present mortal failings. The fact that Leya herself has failed and overcome helps us to ground ourselves and know that it is in the trying where we succeed."
You say, "I do not view Leya as someone who revels in the constant prayers and rituals of her followers. As a warrior and an elf, religious trappings are not the things she values most, or even a lot. She would much rather see someone gaining joy in their advancement in sword techniques, vanquishing evil or helping someone in need. "
You say, "Having said that, as a cleric I feel that prayer and rituals have their place. I will often pray or meditate in appropriate places, often using candles or incense as an enhancement. Offerings are also often approved."
You smile.
>Iscikella smiles.
You say, "Amazon traditions also use the four aspects in Leya's shrine for our calendar of High Holy Days. We relate Strength to Spring, Day to Summer, Mercy to Fall and Night to Winter. "
You say, "Each Holy Day is celebrated in a different manner with a different theme, befitting that aspect of the shrine. These are often the times where we use more elaborate rituals to celebrate our reverence for Leya and what she brings to our lives. "
You say, "Strength in the Spring is normally celebrated with physical contests of various types in keeping with traditions and the love both Kai and Leya have for such events."
You say, "Most of us who follow Leya also have a deep reverence for Kai. I would recommend to anyone who has not yet made their way there, to visit his shrine just outside Wehnimer's Landing. The talismans outside his shrine have a great deal to teach and reading them is always an emotionally moving experience for me."
Danay smiles softly.
You say, "Those of us who follow Leya are blessed in that our Lady truly cares for us and has often made her caring known personally and in many ways. Many of her followers have had personal encounters with the Lady and will be happy to share them with others. Though I might add, some of these are highly personal, with the details only shared among good friends."
>Ferrius smiles warmly
You say, "I should mention that here in attendence tonight, I know at least Laleena and Mistytwilight have such experiences, perhaps more."
You smile.
You say, "The mithril dagger pendant that I wear, which has been a traditional symbol of full membership in the Tribe, bears Leya's blessing and it took place during an extremely difficult time in my life. Simply knowing that she cared and had faith in me allowed me to continue on, even though the path was hard."
>Ferrius blinks.
Mistytwilight smiles softly.
>You place your hand on your mithril dagger pendant.
>Sylviana raises an eyebrow.
>Jacinto smiles.
You say, "I think that pretty much sums up what I wanted to specifically share with you all tonight. I hope it was not too rambling. What I would like to do now is open up this session to discussion."
>Aeronous lets out a cheer!
>Turinrond smiles at you.
>Aranrhod smiles at you.
You say, "In order to to make sure that everyone interested gets a chance to speak, I will be moderating the discussion. I would ask that everyone please be polite and listen while someone else has the floor. "
>Jhude smiles.
>Eairus smiles.
Iscikella nods.
You say, "Raise your hand if you wish to speak. When I call on you, please stand and speak up so that we can all hear."
>Weran raises his hand.
>Guhl raises his hand.
>Ferrius raises his hand.
You say, "I have asked Laleena to assist me with keeping names of the people who have raised their hands."
You smile at Laleena.
You say, "You may either express your own views on Leya, or ask questions. You can ask questions of me or anyone else here that you may wish. Just please be specific who you are addressing."
You say, "While I would like to keep some semblance of order so that we can hear everyone, I would also encourage this to be an open and free flowing discussion, so please do not feel too inhibited."
You point at Weran.
You say, "I believe you were first."
>Weran stands up.
You smile at Weran.
>Weran bows to you.
You bow to Weran.
Weran says, "M'Lady Danay, please understand ah mean no disrespect. Ah hold the followers of Leya in the highest reguard."
You see Weran MacBridy.
He appears to be a Human.
He appears to be in the prime of life and average height. He has bright hazel
eyes and freckled skin. He has shoulder length, tied back copper red hair
swept back from the temples. He has a clean-shaven face and a freckled nose.
He has a tattooed symbol of Kai on his neck.
He has minor cuts and bruises on his abdominal area.
He is holding a double-bladed vultite battle axe in his right hand.
He is wearing some vultite-studded brigandine, a plaid great kilt, a leather-cased
ivory drinking horn, a tan oilcloth sack, a jet black tam, and some black
ghillie brogues.
Weran scratches at a tattooed symbol of Kai.
You nod to Weran.
Weran says, "But, I have read in numerous tomes, the quote"And that is where, it seems, Leya remained until the end of her days."
You nod to Weran.
Weran asks, "How would ye asnwer this?"
>Weran works his fingers under his black tam and scratches his head.
You say, "I believe that is simply a story teller's saying. And not something to be interpreted literally."
You say, "There are too many of us who have had Leya involved in our lives and even heard her speak before."
You smile at Weran.
>Mistytwilight nods.
You say, "So I would have a hard time being convinced she is no longer among us."
>You smile.
You say, "She is at least half Arkati."
>Iscikella smiles.
Weran says, "Hrm, are ye certain it was actually the Lady Leya? Ah mean, that would seem tae be momentus news. Ah hae communed with Lord Kai, and even he does not know she still lives...."
Weran asks, "Should we nae inform him?"
You say, "I have heard Lord Kai's voice before."
You ask, "Inform him of what?"
You say, "Oh that she lives? I am quite sure he is aware of it."
>You smile.
Guhl says, "maybe there be an imortal aspect and a mortal aspect and the imortal aspect live son while the mortal one doesn't..."
>Guhl shrugs.
You say, "Perhaps Laleena or Misty would care to give their view on that as well."
Aranrhod says, "Life for us and life to an Arkati might mean two totally different things"
Weran says, "Why, thst she still lives of course. He was asked that very question, in a commune not six months agone, and he replied nae, that she had passed beyond the viel."
>Weran babbles something unintelligible.
You say, "That is possible."
>Laleena clears her throat.
Mistytwilight clears her throat.
>You blink at Weran.
You ask, "Eh, are you sure that was Kai?"
Weran says, "Hrm, ah hae seen him afore M'lady, it certainly appeared tae be him aye..."
>Weran nods to you.
You nod to Weran.
Laleena shifts her weight.
>Aranrhod leans forward and rests her chin in her hand, a thoughtful expression on her face.
>Mistytwilight smiles slightly.
You say, "Well having not heard it, I cannot comment on that, other than it is bloody odd."
You grin at Weran.
>Weran says, "Again, ah mean nae disrespect, ah merely wish tae git this straight in me poor fiter head."
>Weran blushes and babbles a few incoherent words, looking sincerely flustered.
>Weran bows to you.
Mistytwilight says, "I believe the Lady Leya has shed her mortal body, but in nae means has she passed beyond the Ebon Gates."
You say, "I have witnessed Leya raising Shadowkatt from the dead."
Mistytwilight smiles at Weran.
You nod to Weran.
You say, "I can understand."
You smile at Weran.
You nod to Mistytwilight.
>Tzuriz nods to Aranrhod.
>Weran nods to Mistytwilight.
>Weran says, "Perhaps that is what Lord Kai meant then."
>Weran says, "I thank ye both fer yer patience with this warrior."
>Weran bows. >Weran sits down.
You smile at Weran.
Laleena says, "And as I've never heard Kai, I cain't comment on what he might have said, but I have heard M'lady. And the hearin' was all the basis I needed fer my belief."
You say, "I am glad you asked, tis an important point."
You nod to Weran.
Mistytwilight nods.
You smile at Laleena.
>Laleena smiles.
You point at Guhl.
You smile at Guhl.
Guhl stands up.
You say, "You were next."
>Guhl coughs.
>Guhl asks, "Lady Danay, ::Guhl bows:: I too am a cleric. And there is much to appreciate in the teachings of Leya, in their essence; and what is not to appreciate in masterful woman, but surely, this is cult reserved for women, no?"
You say, "Amazons are all women of course, but Leya has had quite a few male followers as well."
You smile at Guhl.
>Mistytwilight appears to be trying hard not to grin.
You say, "It just tends to be that men prefer Kai."
You grin at Guhl.
>Ferrius chuckles.
You say, "Leya is welcoming to anyone wishing to follow her ways."
Guhl says, "ah..."
>You say, "And the Amazons also honor the men who honor Leya."
You smile.
>Mistytwilight says, "Oh aye, we honor them greatly."
Mistytwilight smiles quietly to herself.
You elbow Mistytwilight in the ribs in a playful sort of way.
>Laleena begins chuckling at Mistytwilight.
Iscikella begins chuckling at Mistytwilight.
You say, "Some more than others."
You try hard not to grin.
>Ferrius smiles at Mistytwilight.
>Aranrhod grins.
>Niasan gazes heavenward.
>Laleena scratches her ear.
>Guhl says, "ah"
Mistytwilight clears her throat.
>Niasan says, "I won't tell your daughter or Calloran you said that.."
>Mistytwilight examines her fingernails.
>Niasan glances at Mistytwilight.
You ask, "Did you have anything further?"
Mistytwilight gasps.
>You smile at Guhl.
>Mistytwilight's face turns slightly pale.
>Aeronous smiles.
>Mistytwilight says, "Oh aye, the Elf..."
>Mistytwilight clears her throat.
Guhl asks, "a simple question perhaps, but might I sneak in one more very short question? Whare is Leya's shrine, I would like to see it for myself?"
You smile at Guhl.
>Aranrhod says, "Is beautiful"
You ask, "Her shrine is in the forests a ways from the Landing. Do you know where the stone circle is where bears and thraks roam?"
You say, "If that territory is unfamilliar to you, I am sure you could gain one of Lord Tsoran's maps and that could help you find it."
>Guhl says, "But I'm sure I can find it, if that is a known place"
You smile at Guhl.
Guhl nods to you.
You say, "Tis somewhat near the stone circle."
You say, "A bit north and west of there."
Niasan says, "Or you could go wandering and blunder into it like I did once."
>Niasan nods to Guhl.
You grin at Niasan.
You say, "That works too."
Guhl smiles at Niasan.
Mistytwilight chuckles.
>Guhl says, "well, thankee..."
>Guhl bows.
You bow to Guhl.
>Aranrhod says, "I found it that way also"
>You smile.
>Guhl sits down.
>Aranrhod nods to Niasan.
You point at Ferrius.
Niasan says, "It's a good way to find a lot of things.. foolproof, actually."
>You smile at Ferrius.
>Niasan nods to Aranrhod.
>Ferrius stands up.
Aranrhod nods.
You chuckle at Niasan.
You see Ferrius Darktrail.
He appears to be a Half-Elf.
He appears to be very young. He has green eyes and tanned skin. He has long,
light brown hair.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing some full leather, a leather sheath, a belt pouch, a heavy backpack,
a reinforced shield, a crystal amulet, some arm greaves, and a torn turquoise
cloak.
You see Guhl Agha.
He appears to be a Dwarf.
He appears to be elderly. He has gold-flecked dark eyes and black skin. He
has thinning, stringy white hair. He has a hooked nose and bushy eyebrows.
He has a braided white beard.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing an ora-laced vruul skin gem pouch, a crystal amulet, a silvery
rolaren kite shield, a steel-linked miner's belt, a rune-trimmed black velvet
cloak, an onyx black leather cap, a small anvil shaped beard clip, some steel-clad
mining boots, an onyx-trimmed white monir scabbard, a small violet, a jet
black vultite armor, a gold ring, and a silver arced split-moon charm.
Ferrius says, "well... I was wondering, about after the tragedy of Leya killing her beloved... did Kai sense the steed he created being unmade, or return to the forest shrine afterwards as he was to protect the sword that Leya left there... "
You say, "Ah..."
>Ferrius blushes a delicate shade of pink.
You smile at Ferrius.
You say, "Good question."
You say, "Kai was detained at the time of the incident and was not present, but aye he sensed what had happened."
>Jacinto raises an eyebrow.
You say, "The sword itself I believe is protected by magics from Leya herself."
You say, "It cannot be removed from the altar and as far as I know, has never been in any danger."
You say, "Tis a powerful weapon, it steals the soulds of those it slays."
Isyldra shivers.
You ask, "Did you have any follow up questions or comments?"
Ferrius says, "one last thing m'lady... I was wondering if you would be willing to relate your encounter with the Lady Leya, or if that were to be too personal"
You smile at Ferrius.
You say, "Well I have been blessed that there have been several actually...."
You say, "How about I tell one of a bit more lighthearted bent."
You smile.
>Ferrius smiles at you.
You say, "Good thing Katt is not here, she hates this story."
You try hard not to grin.
Eairus chuckles.
>Sylviana cocks her head at you.
You say, "One night Katt wanted to go charge some items at the Reach."
You say, "Any of you who have been there know that entry and exit can be daunting."
You say, "Especially exit through the water tunnels."
You say, "There are tales of those who have been trapped there for days or weeks."
Aranrhod snickers.
>Ferrius blinks.
Sylviana raises an eyebrow.
You say, "I and a good friend Baleford were outside by Lake Eonak waiting for Katt's return."
You say, "We sensed that she was in trouble, she had been trying to find her way out for two hours."
>Niasan smirks.
>Ferrius raises an eyebrow.
You say, "She was cold and wet and tired and about to give up for the night."
You say, "So the only thing I could think of at the time to help...was to pray to Lady Leya, since Leya seems to have a fondness for Shadowkatt."
You smile.
You say, "So I chanted the Prayer of Commune and asked for Leya's assistance."
You exclaim, "At first nothing happened and I thought we would not get a response, when the next thing we know, out pops Katt into the lake!"
You flash a wide grin.
>Ferrius chuckles.
>Rilven grins.
>Sylviana blinks.
>Laleena appears to be trying hard not to grin.
>Aranrhod grins.
>Mistytwilight chortles softly at some secret joke.
ou say, "I had tried offering a yellow rose that Katt had given me and had put it back in my cloak again when we thought it had not worked."
You say, "As we returned to town I felt something odd, looked in my cloak..."
You say, "And the rose had been transformed into a shining golden rose."
You smile.
>Iscikella grins.
>Ferrius blinks.
You say, "A gift from our Lady."
>Guhl nods.
>Marandalynn smiles.
>Ferrius smiles at you.
>Lorel smiles at you.
>Mistytwilight smiles softly.
You say, "Katt has the rose now, I gave it to her as a gift when she reached her fiftieth training."
You smile at Ferrius.
You say, "So that is one story."
Ferrius says, "thank you for sharing that m'lady"
Guhl says, "aye, twas a beautiful recounting..."
You ask, "Did you have anything further?"
You smile at Ferrius.
Ferrius says, "nae... I am new to these lands and am mearly leaning all I can"
>Ferrius chuckles.
You smile at Ferrius.
You say, "Then I am glad you could join us."
You say, "Perhaps I should ask a question..."
You ask, "How many here follow Leya?"
Laleena raises her hand.
You say, "I always enjoy meeting others I have not met before."
Mistytwilight raises her hand.
You ask, "Misty or Laleena, is there anything either of you would like to add or perhaps a different viewpoint you can offer?"
Mistytwilight leans forward and rests her chin in her hand, a thoughtful expression on her face.
Sylviana shifts her weight.
You rock back on your heels.
>Laleena says, "Jest so I don't know what I could add, but if anyone had a specific question, I could answer."
You say, "I like putting them on the spot."
You try hard not to grin.
>Laleena grins.
Iscikella grins at you.
>Laleena just nudged you.
>Mistytwilight mutters under her breath.
>Laleena says, "I should be used to it..."
>Mistytwilight squints.
Laleena says, "Oddly, I'm not."
>You nod to Laleena.
You grin.
>Laleena gazes in wonder at her surroundings.
>Mistytwilight nods to Laleena.
>Mistytwilight says, "She's rather lovely at doing it to me."
>Mistytwilight stares off into space.
Iscikella says, "Danay, I have a bit of an inquiry."
You nod to Iscikella.
>You smile.
>Iscikella says, "Though is about something I witnessed."
You nod to Iscikella.
>Iscikella says, "And I was not the cleric."
>Mistytwilight cocks her head at Iscikella.
>Iscikella says, "So I may not know everything."
You say, "No one knows everything."
You grin.
Iscikella grins at you.
>Iscikella says, "True."
>Iscikella says, "My adoptive sister is a follower of Leya."
You nod to Iscikella.
Iscikella says, "And at one point she tried a commune to Leya, to ask her to interceded to Talbot Dabbings for some answers with regard to a few things. The idea was ask a warrior to talk to a warrior."
Iscikella says, "But what Leya revealed had to do with her own sorrow regarding the loss of her lover."
>Iscikella says, "Very very heart-rending the visions we all saw."
You cock your head at Iscikella.
>Aranrhod nods.
Iscikella says, "I'm not sure if my sister saw more than we did."
You say, "Aye? Perhaps you could share them."
Iscikella says, "She was in tears."
>Iscikella says, "Well, the image was of her love bleeding."
You furrow up your face and wince.
You nod.
>Iscikella says, "And Leya sobbing beside him."
Iscikella says, "And then casting away the sword that slew him."
You nod to Iscikella.
>Iscikella says, "Truly was a shattering experience can tell ye."
You say, "I would imagine."
You ask, "May I ask how long ago this was?"
>Iscikella says, "But my question was I never quite knew if Leya was trying to say that the concerns we were asking were unimportant..."
>Aranrhod says, "It was...I was there."
>Iscikella says, "Or that Talbot had... a life-wrenching experience of his own."
You nod to Iscikella.
>Iscikella says, "And she was showing us that what we asked was not part of what he could share."
Iscikella says, "I would be a bit interested in yer interpretation."
>You nod to Iscikella.
You ponder.
>Iscikella says, "Though as I say, I don't know if my sister saw more than we did."
You say, "Well one thing seems to be true of all gods."
>Iscikella says, "She was truthfully in tears for hours."
You say, "They rarely speak in direct terms."
You nod to Iscikella.
>Iscikella nods to you.
>Mistytwilight laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.
>Iscikella says, "True enough."
You say, "Leya as much or more than any others seems to like to be vague and leave things up to us to interpret."
>Mistytwilight says, "Aye, riddles they love."
You say, "Down right annoying much of the time."
You try hard not to grin.
>Eairus chuckles.
>Sylviana smiles.
>Iscikella smiles at you.
>Iscikella says, "Know that from Lumnis."
>Iscikella chuckles.
You say, "Since I was not present and am not aware of all the details of the circumstances, I think it would be folly for me to try and interpret."
You nod to Iscikella.
>Iscikella nods to you.
>Iscikella says, "I understand. I hope sometime my sister has a chance to speak to ye of it."
>You ask, "How long ago was it, recently?"
You smile at Iscikella.
>You nod. >Iscikella says, "It was now about..."
>Iscikella ponders.
>Aranrhod says, "The visions were poignant to me."
Iscikella says, "Six months ago? About."
You say, "Interesting."
You nod.
You say, "I am not sure I would have known what to make of it either."
You ask, "Does anyone else have any comments or questions?"
You say, "If there is nothing further, I would like to thank you all for attending and participating tonight and for being such a wonderful audience."
>You smile.
>Iscikella applauds you.
>Laleena applauds you.
>Rilven grins.
>Aranrhod applauds you.
>Rilven applauds.
>Guhl applauds.
You exclaim, "Now everyone go eat and drink!"
>You grin.
Eairus smiles at you.
>Jhude applauds.
>Eairus grins.
>Aranrhod chuckles.
Iscikella recites:
"On behalf of the Festival organizers, a sincere thank ye to Danay for taking the time to speak to us tonight."
