Nediva, an Amazon of Leya, was the key figure in a mini storyline involving the darken of Wraithenmist near Ta'Illistim. Borarus had appeared to Nediva and a few others in Potter's field and had a long story about how the darken are people who had been enslaved by Luukos. Borarus himself had been enslaved as well, but claimed to finally escape. Borarus was seeking Nediva's aid to free some of the darken. But Borarus had been vague with us on several points, and we weren't sure if we could trust him or not, as it was possible he was still a tool of Luukos.

Finally we decided to seek Leya's aid in deciding if we should trust him or not. We feared that if Borarus had lied to us, it would unleash the undead on Ta'Illstim if we followed his instructions. Nediva had been given a diamond that was to be a key ingredient in freeing the darken if we followed his request. This took place on 6/26/2002.

Against the curved wall sits a marble altar, its contours echoing the arcuation. Light from the dome above plays across its polished surface, dappling it as clouds drift past the moons outside. A formidable sword rests upon the altar, and although the altar's dimensions seem perfectly contrived to bear the weapon's span, the sword lies there askew, as if casually discarded.
Also in the room: Lady Mistytwilight who is kneeling, Lady Laleena who is kneeling, Lady Nediva who is kneeling
Obvious exits: south, east, southeast.

KJ>Nediva sighs softly.

KJ>Laleena says, "Humbly, Lady, we ask fer yer direction so that we may best know how to act, how to understand what is our charge in the murk of such obscure information."

KJ>Laleena softly kisses her Leya symbol, murmuring to herself.

KJ>You murmur some prayers under your breath.

KJ>Nediva continues to beseech the gods for mercy and guidance.

KJ>Mistytwilight continues to beseech the gods for mercy and guidance.

KJ>You lean back.

KJ>You ponder.

Mistytwilight gazes heavenward.

KJ>Mistytwilight sighs.

You say, "I could try the Prayer of Commune, but I tend to be wary of bothering her in that manner."

Nediva nods.

KJ>Laleena ponders.

You ask, "What do you all think?"

KJ>Mistytwilight asks, "Do you think our need is great enough to try that?"

Mistytwilight says, "It is a great quest that Nediva has been given."

You say, "I would certainly feel better knowing if he is to be trusted or not."

KJ>You nod to Mistytwilight.

KJ>Nediva says, "Well, on one hand, this might be something we must decide for ourselves. On the other hand, if he is a great evil.. someone should know."

You say, "But then again, she likes for us to go where our hearts lead us."

KJ>Laleena says, "I don't mean to seem anxious, but it's possible that the fate of those that dwell within Illistim's walls depends on this decision."

KJ>Mistytwilight says, "Leya is part Elf, perhaps she would have interest in this, if it was brought to her notice."

KJ>You nod to Nediva.

You say, "Exactly."

You nod to Laleena.

You ask, "I am torn, aye or nay from each of you on trying the Prayer?"

You say, "Perhaps Nediva should have the final say."

KJ>You smile at Nediva.

KJ>Nediva chuckles.

You ask, "Misty?"

Mistytwilight sighs softly.

Mistytwilight says, "I must say aye, because I wish help."

You ask, "Laleena?"

Nediva says, "I am leaning toward aye.. since we did attempt to gain information ourselves and were met with vagueness. And when we did search Wraithenmist, we found nothing."

You nod to Nediva.

KJ>Laleena says, "Aye."

KJ>Laleena nods to you.

You remove a ivory Leya symbol from in your purple greatcloak.

KJ>Laleena says, "Too much rides on it, I think."

Mistytwilight says, "I have great resolve against the quest, because my love for Illistim is very strong."

KJ>You nod to Laleena.

You nod to Mistytwilight.

You ask, "All right, I will chant the prayer, then all of you pray as you were before to aid. All right?"

KJ>Mistytwilight nods to you.

KJ>Laleena nods.

KJ>Nediva nods.

You raise your Leya symbol skyward!

You close your eyes for a moment.

KJ>Laleena tilts her head down.

You raise your hand while murmuring a soft orison, focusing on the Commune spell...

KJ>Laleena closes her eyes for a moment.

You gesture at a ivory Leya symbol. Focusing your will on the Leya symbol, you attempt to use it to help establish a link between yourself and your deity.

You begin a quiet prayer in the hope that your god will hear.

You fall into a deep trancelike state.

You say, "We know that we must be strong and know our own hearts, but a mistep here could mean the destruction of many."

You say, "We seek to do only that which serves the greater good."

KJ>Nediva says, "I have a great weight riding upon my shoulders now, Lady. We need help, as we have sought knowledge and found none forthcoming."

KJ>You kiss your Leya symbol softly, murmuring a quiet prayer.

You sway side to side on your knees.

KJ>Laleena says, "We beseech, Lady, if ye could, shed some light upon this darkness."

KJ>Laleena places her hand on her Leya symbol.

You say, "We have sought the information that we need for Nediva's quest....yet have a hard time trusting the words of one who has served Luukos."

KJ>Nediva nods.

KJ>Mistytwilight continues to beseech the gods for mercy and guidance.

KJ>Mistytwilight says, "My Lady, I pray of you, please send us some form of sign of answer that Nediva should take acceptance of this task."

KJ>Laleena says, "It is not only fer ourselves that we ask, but fer the fate of those that would be affected by our decision..."

Laleena softly kisses her Leya symbol, murmuring to herself.

You say, "We wish to free those within the grasp of Luukos if it is within our power, but we cannot betray those who are dear to us in the process."

You sway side to side on your knees.

KJ>Nediva says, "I do not wish to harm anyone by completing this task as I have been asked. But if Borarus' intentions are good, I wish to free those imprisoned by Luukos."

You nod.

You say, "I fear that this time, silence is our answer. Tis up to us without our Lady's guidance."

Laleena softly kisses her Leya symbol, murmuring to herself.

KJ>Mistytwilight sighs.

Nediva places her hand on her Leya symbol.

KJ>Mistytwilight stares at a black marble altar.

KJ>Mistytwilight shakes her head.

An azure mist slowly forms low to the floor, a slender tendril winding around the altar.

You ask, "Lady, do you hear us now?"

KJ>Laleena places a hand over her heart.

You say, "We seek your wisdom in this great matter."

Laleena closes her eyes for a moment.

KJ>Mistytwilight smiles slightly, a hopeful look in her eyes.

KJ>Laleena says, "My Lady..."

You place your hand on your mithril dagger pendant.

Mistytwilight traces the lines of her symbol of Leya.

KJ>Mistytwilight continues to beseech the gods for mercy and guidance.

KJ>Nediva says, "My Lady, I fear I have a great weight upon me now, and the wrong step could be deadly."

KJ>Mistytwilight says, "My Lady, we seek your help..."

You say, "We seek your guidance to aid Nediva in her task that has been given to her by Borarus."

KJ>Laleena says, "Humbly beseech yer direction..."

The mist snakes across the top of the altar, retreating at the first approach to Soulingen, then carefully skirts around it.

KJ>Nediva asks, "Can you give us a sign, as to whether Borarus is to be trusted?"

You say, "We are told we can free those within the grasp of Luukos, and yet it is one who has served Luukos who has said this."

KJ>Laleena says, "He even admits that one of his most trusted is still tainted by Luukos..."

KJ>Laleena frowns.

You say, "We wish to free those held if possible, but not at the expense of my people and our friends in Illistim."

KJ>Nediva nods.

You say, "He is vague in his information. Slippery in his answers."

Laleena says, "His evasions leave us with lil' to know fer certain."

You say, "Our hearts are true, but we do not wish to step wrong and bring about destruction."

A slender wisp of the azure rises towards the dome eye.

You tilt your head back.

KJ>Laleena gazes heavenward.

KJ>Nediva tilts her head back.

KJ>Mistytwilight says, "My Lady, you are of us Elves, he seeks to put a mystical diamond into the Gates of the City of Light.... we need your help."

KJ>Mistytwilight gazes heavenward.

KJ>You murmur some prayers under your breath.

Mistytwilight continues to beseech the gods for mercy and guidance.

KJ>Nediva continues to beseech the gods for mercy and guidance.

KJ>Laleena softly kisses her Leya symbol, murmuring to herself.

You say, "We are strong and willing to do whatever it takes to aid those who are in torment."

Nediva says, "My sword and heart are devoted to aid those in need. But I do not wish to free those that would seek destruction in return."

>Laleena says, "But are wary to take action that could send innocents into dark clutches."

KJ>Mistytwilight places a hand over her heart.

Within the mist at the eye, an illusion begins to form. At first it is vague, then more clearly takes on a diamond-shaped silhouette.

You gasp.

Nediva blinks.

You say, "Aye Lady, the diamond."

(Laleena seems to hold her breath for a moment.)

You say, "We are told that Nediva can free those within Luukos' grasp by placing it within the city of Illistim."

Nediva removes a raven-hued black treasure pouch from in her suede half-bodice.

KJ>Mistytwilight continues to beseech the gods for mercy and guidance.

KJ>Nediva loosens the drawstrings of her black treasure pouch, opening it.

KJ>Nediva removes an uncut diamond from in her black treasure pouch.

KJ>Mistytwilight traces the lines of her symbol of Leya.

KJ>Laleena places her hand on her Leya symbol.

The illusionary gem begins to slowly spin, moving out of the Shrine, in a southerly direction.

KJ>Laleena blinks.

KJ>Mistytwilight gasps.

KJ>Nediva furrows her brow.

(Danay follows the spinning mist with her eyes)

Laleena asks, "Should we follow?"

You stand back up.

J>Laleena stands up.

You say, "I am not sure."

Nediva stands up.

J>You ponder.

J>Mistytwilight stands up.

The azure mist retreats, and a soft breeze, like a whisper seems to echo, "Follow your hearts."

J>Laleena says, "It seems to move out..."

J>The soft sound of wind chimes drifts in on a light breeze.

You kneel down and begin your prayers.

>Mistytwilight kneels down and begins to recite prayers.

>Nediva kneels down.

>Laleena softly kisses her Leya symbol, murmuring to herself.

KJ>Nediva continues to beseech the gods for mercy and guidance.

You say, "Lady thank you for your wisdom and guidance."

Nediva says, "Thank you, Lady."

KJ>Mistytwilight says, "Thank you, my Lady."

KJ>Laleena says, "Our thanks, Lady, fer yer guidance."

You rub a black marble altar.

You smile quietly to yourself.

Laleena places a hand over her heart.

KJ>Nediva bites her lip.

You murmur some prayers under your breath.

>Nediva just touched a black marble altar.

KJ>Nediva tilts her head down.

(Danay whispers, "Thank you.")

You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs.

 

We took the sign to mean that we should proceed with the plan and that Nediva should bring the diamond to Ta'Illistim as instructed in order to aid those captured by Luukos and that no harm would come to the people of Illistim by doing so.
