Shopping at Multon's Wagon

8/11/00

[This and That]
Tapestries of swirling green, blue, and yellow patterns cling to the walls. The makeshift carpet has been dyed to match the wall giving a somewhat nauseating feeling to the room. Small openings in the ceiling let just enough light in to keep the colorful array muted and allow guests to see the wonderful craftsmanship of the items. You also see a sturdy haon shelf with some stuff on it, a wide metal bin, a painted wooden crate, a lace covered table with some stuff on it, a long metal rack with some stuff on it, a large silk covered barrel and some blue hanging beads.
Also in the room: Taratea, Lady Rubytears, Moonsynn, Lord Beinifien, Shiril, Tsalaroth, Decimate
Obvious exits: none.

>Multon accepts your note and gives you a new one.
Multon makes a quick trip to a back storage area and returns with a piece of tattered parchment.
Handing it to you carefully, Multon says, "Here's your parchment. Hope you enjoy it."

>Rubytears laughs!

>Shiril says, "It doesn't quite fit."

>Shiril winks at Rubytears.

You say, "Keep husbands in line with them."

Shiril starts chuckling at you!

>Shiril says, "Shouldn't have to use one for that."

>Shiril waggles her fingers mystically at you! Ooh! Scary!

>Lylia chuckles.

>Lylia just kissed Tsalaroth on the cheek.

You say, "Of course not."

Tsalaroth asks, "How are you, Lylia? And that dour husband of yours?"

>You say, "But their parchments are not in good shape."

>You shake your head, clucking your tongue.

>Lylia nods to you.

>Lylia says, "A true pity."

You remove a piece of tattered parchment from in your purple greatcloak.

>You show Lylia your tattered parchment.

You point at Tsalaroth.

>You snicker.

>Tsalaroth stares at you.

>Lylia laughs!

>Lylia says, "Ah, Silvean is well---and he is going to be sorry if he missed this visit with these merchants."

>Tsalaroth tightens his grip on his maoral-handled shovel and glances over at you.

>Tsalaroth grins.

You cower away from Tsalaroth.

You put a piece of tattered parchment in your purple greatcloak.

>Lylia says, "Ah, gods...I see the most absolutely terrifying thing I have ever seen in here..."

>Multon gives Lylia a starched linen apron.

>You blink at Lylia.

>Tsalaroth grins at Lylia.

Lylia shows you a starched linen apron, which she is holding in her left hand.
You see nothing unusual.

>You ask, "Which is that?"

>Lylia says, "I intend to horrify Silvean."

>You laugh out loud!

>Tsalaroth says, "I do hope you aren't going to put that on."

>Lylia exclaims, "Tsalaroth, perish the thought!"

>Lylia presses the back of her hand to her forehead, the long sleeve of her crimson silk gown falling to conceal her face.

>Tsalaroth slowly empties his lungs.

>Lylia put a starched linen apron in her black velvet cloak.

>Lylia says, "But...it will fit Silvean nicely."

Lylia grins impishly.

>You say, "Well...if you wear only the apron...the horror may be short lived."

You try hard not to grin.

>Lylia raises her voice in merry laughter.

>Tsalaroth starts chuckling at you!

>Tsalaroth taps a heavy wooden rolling pin.

>Rubytears nods to Tsalaroth.

>Rubytears snickers.

>Lylia raises an eyebrow in Tsalaroth's direction.

>Lylia asks, "What is that thing for?"

>You grin at Tsalaroth.

>Tsalaroth says, "For clubbing husbands who mock aprons."

You say, "For keeping Silvean in line."

You nod to Lylia.

>Lylia laughs!

>Lylia asks, "Oh, but surely I can keep him in line otherwise...or do you doubt that?"

>Tsalaroth says, "Of course, you certainly didn't get the idea from ME."

You say, "Oh nay."

>Lylia says, "I would rather hit him with this..."

>Tsalaroth clears his throat.

You raise an eyebrow in Lylia's direction.

>Multon gives Lylia a soft feather pillow.

You grin at Lylia.

You rub your chin thoughtfully.

>Lylia nods to you.

You smile quietly to yourself.

>Lylia says, "I hate carrying these in my cloak. I shall look like Bloodsnake."

>Lylia says, "But I really haven't anywhere else to put it..."

>Lylia says, "It would not fit in my bodice. Thank the gods."

Lylia put a soft feather pillow in her black velvet cloak.

>Multon gives Tsalaroth a wooden toothpick.

>Tsalaroth says, "Huh."

You say, "You better take care Lylia....Titaniia will just make further comment..."

>You cough.

You say, "I mean...never mind."

>Lylia gazes heavenward.

>Lylia nods to you.

You shuffle your feet.

Tsalaroth idly picks his teeth with his wooden toothpick.

>(Lylia shifts the pillow in her cloak around, trying to make it appear a little smaller.)

You glance at Tsalaroth.

>Tsalaroth flashes a wide grin.

>Multon gives Lylia a piece of tattered parchment.

>Lylia put a piece of tattered parchment in her black velvet cloak.

Lylia says, "Been needing more of that..."

>You nod to Lylia.

You say, "I was using old scrolls. And they have a tendency to burn up, losing what I wrote."

>Lylia asks, "Well. I shall have to see what else I can see. You will pardon me?"

>Lylia exclaims, "So good to see you both!"

>Tsalaroth says, "Likely, I'll follow you. I'm going peruse the arms."

>You hug Lylia.

>Lylia hugs you.

>You say, "Have fun."

>Lylia just kissed Tsalaroth on the cheek.

Lylia says, "Always."

>Lylia winks at you.

>Lylia smiles.

You grin.

>Lylia turns gracefully, the split black lace overskirt of her gown falling back to reveal the deep crimson silk beneath.

>Lady Lylia went through some blue hanging beads.

>Tsalaroth glances at something inside a painted wooden crate.

>Tsalaroth says, "Nah."

>In the wooden crate you see a heavy wooden rolling pin, a heavy cracked pewter flagon, a large cracked wooden bowl and a silver-worked black clay bowl.
