Clear grassland stretches far to the southwest, a futile lesson in the immensity of Elanith. To the northwest the grassy plain gives way to a smattering of pines that dot the landscape. Immediately east of you looms the high wooden wall of the Landing which provides you with a sense of security against all the unknown things that may lurk in plain and forest alike. You exclaim, "I had help!"

Targon says, "And there was a cleric already."

Targon says, "People get lynched at north gate for that."

You exclaim, "I was in danger from being raised out here you jackass!"

Kodiakc says, " no wonder i dont dont come back often"

Targon says, "You didn't even ask if there was already a raiser."

Syleandra says, "Aye dead and the one who killed her still hiden amongst us"

Sylanae nods to Syleandra.

Pelendur tightens his grip on his war hammer.

Targon says, "kids playing? you didn't even ASK... if there was a raiser already"

Syleandra waves her hand in a dismissive gesture.

You say, "Oh I will NOT forget."

You notice a vein pulsing in Pelendur's forehead.

(If you didn't know Pelendur, he was a very quiet type. His sneering, gripping his hammer, and the pulsing vein are the equivalent of Danay's slapping and verbal tantrum. Heh.)

You say, "You all stay here, I am going to fog inside of town and recover."

Pelendur nods to you.

Syleandra nods to you.

You say, "I will join you when I am ready and have calmed down a bit."

Sylanae nods.

Ooh! That felt great!

Sylanae says, "We'll be waiting"

So I head back to our base in the temple where Itiara and Threnody, both very low level at the time, were keeping vigil, and there to send mana and give us herbs when needed...

[Temple, Chapel]
Two pillars frame a simple chapel. Followers of the land's many religions offer prayers here, each to their own gods. In the pine pews sit a Zhaolmin monk in tattered robes and a solitary elf softly intoning an ancient chant. In front of the pews, you see an unadorned altar. You also see a simple monir box, some manna bread, a white marble arch, a black arch, a curved arch and an ebony door.

You narrow your eyes.

Itiara blinks.

You say, "Abatar killed me, but I sort of asked for it."

You say, "Pelendur and the others were there. "

You say, "We were outside of town and I was lying there dead."

Itiara growls ferociously!

You exclaim, "Another cleric came in and raised me right there without asking if I had help and without casting a sanctuary!"

Threnody says, "oh no"

Itiara grits her teeth.

You say, "I could have died again right then and there from his idiocy."

Elantha blinks.

Itiara says, "what I would not GIVE to be older... "

Threnody frowns.

You exclaim, "Then he had the gall to get upset at ME for slapping him and not thanking him!"

Threnody sighs.

Itiara frowns.

You say, "Made the foolish statment when I was upset 'everyone thinks they are a cleric'"

You say, "I told him loudly I AM a cleric."

You sneer.

Itiara rolls her eyes.

The elf attempts to call down the favor of the Mother Goddess onto his family.

You say, "I have rarely been so furious in all my time. A cleric that puts people at risk like that should be stripped of thier powers."

Threnody rubs you gently.

Threnody says, "I'm just glad you are up again...was worried"

You laugh out loud!

The dome of a large temple rises before you. The circular building is surrounded by marble porticos and teak columns. A promenade leads to two pillars, through which you can peer into the inner sanctum. You observe priests, acolytes, monks and worshippers engaged in various rituals of devotion. A locked almsbox is securely bolted to an iron pole alongside the pillars. You also see the town constable, a placid monk, a black shield, a black shield, some full black leather, a wrought-iron gate and the Griffin sword which is embedded to its hilt in a glowing white stone.

The remote northeast end of Wehnimer's Landing feels far removed from the commerce and activity of the town to the west. The presence here of the Town Guard, civilian militia and soldiers is disquieting rather than comforting. The intense look on their faces as the watches come and go bespeaks of the importance of the round-the-clock vigil they keep. We kept missing all the battles. We rarely saw any action, but would come across large piles of equipment where a battle had recently taken place and we were getting frustrated that we couldn't get in on the fighting...

Mistytwilight says, "Huge piles."

Sylanae sighs.

You nod to Sylanae.

You sigh.

This road girds the town along the inner side of the north palisade. To the north are the two high spires of the land guardtowers. Militia come and go, marking the changing of the watch. You are just within the main gates, caught in a press of people of all races going off in many directions. Opposite the gates, you see the shop of Dakris the Furrier. You also see a professional lockpick.

[Town Square Central] This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end of the space, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep.
