Danay and Shadowkatt had a somewhat rocky engagement. It was on and off again at least twice over a period of about a year or so. It was finally on again and we were making plans for a "Plan B" wedding, when suddenly Simu stopped offering them right as we were setting a date. Eventually, tired of waiting, and Katt being shy and reluctant to have a big to-do anyway, we decided to elope one night. The posts below were all done in character on the message boards to announce the happy event.

As a side note, it might be a little thing in the eyes of a lot of people, but one of the things I was most proud of as an accomplishment in GemStone was for a long time being part of one of the most recognized couples in the Lands. Jypsie used to run polls on her website years ago that had players vote on best known, most admired, and various other categories, of characters in the game. In one of them one of the categories was best known couples, or something close to that. Shadowkatt and Danay came in third or fourth if I recall correctly, I know it was in the top five. That pleased me greatly.

To our friends and loved ones,

There no longer seems to be a branch of the tree where we can tack up such notices, so decided to pin this scroll up here.

I am very happy to announce that Shadowkatt and I have finally, after a lengthy engagement, been wed. Since the custom jewlers and tailors seem to be still on strike, we finally lost patience and on spur of the moment last night, eloped. We were wed with our goddess Leya's blessing at her shrine in a private ritual attended only by the two of us.

To my beloved Shadowkatt,

You have made me the happiest woman in Elanthia. Words will never be enough to express what you have brought to my life. I am honored and overjoyed that we are bound together for eternity.
