I thought I would add a personal note here about the horror of trying to find good fantasy clipart on the web. I have literally spent days and days combing the web to find graphics that I wanted to use or even just to have on my computer because I liked them. What did I come up with? Mostly the above sites.

The truth of graphics on the web is, no matter what category you are looking for, it's all links. There are literally tens of thousands of web pages out there that have links to sites. But what you find is, the sites they link to are yet other link sites! Actual content is hard to find.

I have mostly used graphics that are called linkware. It's one of those internet pleasantries where people say, you can use this for free, just link back to me. Which I have done here. In all my searching I have noticed that people still constantly pirate from each other anyway. As far as I know, none of the graphics I have used infringe on copyrights. (I also used some graphics I had copied from sites a long time ago for which I no longer know the source, and for that I apologize.)

Whether the above sites are the original homes of the graphics or not I have no way of telling, except for those where it's stated to be the siteowner's original work. The Aon site has especially nice original knotwork designs for buttons and backgrounds.

If you know of any good medieval and fantasy sites that I do not have listed here, let me know!
